We witness moments of spiritual significance, including a Mezuzah installation in a home shared by a Jewish Israeli and his Dutch partner, and a communal Hanukkah celebration that unites people of various backgrounds.

Shot in contemporary Amsterdam, the film explores the themes of unity, hope, and the shared connections that transcend religious differences. From a candle lighting ceremony at the Chabad House to the remembrance of those lost in World War II, God Is Light delves into the beauty of spiritual connection and the power of unity in a multicultural city.

Born and raised amidst the vivid tapestry of Jerusalem, Israel, Nissim Khalifa discovered his fervor for storytelling at a tender age. Surrounded by a city steeped in history and cultural diversity, Nissim developed a keen sense of observation that led him to capture moments through the lens of a camera. As his fascination with visual storytelling grew, he embraced the art of creative writing, channeling his unique perspective into crafting compelling narratives.

Driven by an innate ability to weave immersive stories, Nissim made a seamless transition into the realm of film production and direction. His passion for exploring the depths of the human experience has enabled him to bring untold stories to light. Drawing on his rich multicultural background, Nissim's films resonate with audiences across borders and cultures.
