Maarten directed television series such as the award-winning ‘Pleidooi’ (Golden Calf and Nipkow Schijf) and ‘Zwarte sneeuw’. He also directed the movies ‘Zonder Zelda’ and ‘Het Paradij’s. ‘Het Paradijs’ has been awarded at many different international festivals. In 2003 Maarten directed the feature film ‘De Passievrucht’ and ‘De Heineken Ontvoering’ in 2011, considered one of the most important Dutch films. Since 1997 Maarten directed countless commercials, for example: Amstel, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Opel, Unox, KPN, Knorr, Zwitserleven, Nuon and Planet Internet.
He is currently the president of the Dutch Directors Guild and the chairman of Foundation Shortcutz Amsterdam.

Since leaving the Photoacademie in Amsterdam in 2005, where he studied photography, Dutchman Will Falize has worked non-stop in the fields of stills, film and television. The combination of being a photographer and Director of Photography has strengthened his visual ability and is recognized in his work. His background in fashion photography has allowed him to understand the stylistic aspects of colour, light and composition. But also his love for documentary photography has manifested in the way he captures moving images. This quality makes Will often approached for projects that demand this unique style that allows the audience to be really closely experiencing emotions captured through his lens, as if they are really ‘there’ with the characters.

Will’s work covers a range of styles and disciplines from aspirational lifestyle projects, to compelling, moody and dramatic scenes. He particularly has a strong eye for natural beauty in landscapes, architecture and people. His clients include Nike, Audi, Stuart Weitzmann and KLM.
