We are beyond excited to share that this Monday, May 12th - 1 pm (CET) we will be welcoming international superstar ALICIA VIKANDER as Shortcutz Network's special guest. With an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, two Golden Globes nominations, and three BAFTA nominations to her name, Alicia is one of the most talented and exciting actresses working today.
From her remarkable portrait of Gerda, a woman whose husband undergoes gender reassignment in ‘The Danish Girl’, to her captivating performance as robot Ava in ‘Ex Machina’, Alicia brings subtly, dedication and charm to every role. Not only that, but she has also proved her ability to totally kick ass in her performance as Lara Croft in ‘Tomb Raider’, a role she will be reprising in 2021’s sequel. We can’t wait to hear more from this rockstar!

Alicia Vikander is an Academy Award-winning actress who has built up an impressive CV over the last few years, straddling bath independent films and blockbuster movies.
In 2016 Alicia won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her nuanced performance as Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl, starring opposite Eddie Redmayne and directed by Tom Hooper.
Most recently Alicia started in Earthquake Bird for Netflix, directed by Wash Westmorland. In 2018 Alicia brought Lara Croft back to life in Warner Bros. new imagining of the Tomb Raider franchise. The sequel is due to start production in 2020.
Other notable films include Ex Machina for which Alicia received Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for her performance as Android 'Ava'; The Light Between Oceans directed by Derek Cianfrance and co-starring Michael Fassbender.
In 2015 Alicia starred in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. directed by Guy Ritchie and in 2014 received critical acclaim for her the portray of Vera Brittain in Testament of Youth. Before that Alicia captured attention in Joe Wright's adaptation of Anna Karen, in a, with Keira Knightley in the title role; and in 2012 received critical acclaim for her performance in A Royal Affair, starring opposite Mads Mikkelsen.
Alicia has several films upcoming. The Glorias, a biopic of Gloria Steinem where Juliane Moore also stars. Alicia will then be seen in David Lowry's fantasy adventure The Green Knight, starring Dev Patel. After that she will I be seen in Justin Chon's drama Blue Bayou, and also the Luca Guadagnino produced thriller Barn to be Murdered co-starring Vicky Krieps and John David Washington.
