Hisko is currently directing UNDONE, an animated series for adults, for Amazon Prime and Michael Eisner (ex-Disney)’s Tornante, written by Kate Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman) starring Rosa Salazar (Bird Box) and Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad). This series will premiere on Amazon Prime on September 13th. This series have been collecting lots of love from the major international film press and let’s face how sick is this trailer?!? We can’t wait to see this one!
MORE ABOUT HISKO:
Hisko Hulsing majored in painting and animation at the art academy of Rotterdam in 1995. His films Seventeen and Junkyard were invited to numerous festivals and won many awards, including the Grand Prize at the Ottawa International Animation. Both Seventeen and Junkyard were the official Dutch entry for the Oscars.
Besides writing, directing, painting and animating for his animated films, Hisko composes the orchestral soundtracks for his own films.
In 2013 he made over 100 oil paintings on canvas to serve as backgrounds for the hybrid live-action / animation documentary The Last Hijack that premiered at the Berlin Film Festival. In that same year he made many paintings for a Richard Linklater, Warner Bros project in Los Angeles.
In 2014 Hisko Hulsing and his team of animators made large animated sequences for Cobain: Montage of Heck, the first authorized documentary about Kurt Cobain, directed by Brett Morgen. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and has been theatrically released by Universal Pictures worldwide. HBO broadcasted Cobain: Montage of Heck during May 2015. The film was critically hailed all over the world.

Two innocent orphans, Maiky and Alice, are trying to survive in a world overrun by war. The children hide in a rundown house while the raging war is catching up on them. Maiky and Alice are forced to escape from their shelter strolling through the ruins of a bombed city. Alice and Maiky are looking fora place which enables them to feel like children again, a Safe Haven. It seems they will never be able to escape the war but still they hold on to hope.
