Frans has produced over 140 feature films, drama series, short films and international co-productions. His credit list includes movies such as God Only Knows, Girl, The Longing, Layla M., The Commune, A Noble Intention, Black Book, Stellet Licht, The Heineken Kidnapping, Code Blue, Black Butterflies, Love is All, The Broken Circle Breakdown, The Misfortunates, Joy, among many many others. RESPECT! Frans is the co-founder of TOPKAPI FILMS one of the leading film production companies in the Netherlands. He is currently working on Halina Reijn's directorial debut Instinct, Paul Verhoeven's new film Benedetta, and even Thomas Vinterberg's new project!! So much to talk about!

Frans van Gestel has been a film producer for over 20 years and produced over 140 feature films, drama series, short films and international co-productions. In 2011, he established Topkapi Films, together with Arnold Heslenfeld and Laurette Schillings. Topkapi Films develops, produces and co-produces feature films and television drama, striving to build long-term relationships with writers and directors. In recent years, Van Gestel (co)produced films as God Only Knows, Girl, The Longing, Layla M., The Commune and A Noble Intention. He was awarded four times as best Dutch producer (Golden Calf) and had the honour of being “guest of the year” at the Dutch Film festival in 2011. Before Topkapi Films, Van Gestel established Motel Films in 1996 and lead IDTV Film from 2008 until 2011. Successful films Van Gestel (co)produced in the past include titles as Black Book, Stellet Licht, The Heineken Kidnapping, Code Blue, Black Butterflies, Love is All, The Broken Circle Breakdown, The Misfortunates, Joy, Gigante and In Orange.
