NEWZ: the 9th Shortcutz Amsterdam Annual Awards are rescheduled for May 1, at EYE Filmmuseum.

8th shortcutz Amsterdam annual awards

WHAT?

For the eight-year running, Shortcutz Amsterdam celebrates the best of Dutch short films. In this ceremony, Shortcutz Amsterdam awards the Best Dutch short films in 9 jury-categories and Audience Award.

We will also announce the recipient of the 2nd Rutger Hauer Award, in memory of our late ambassador, jury member and board advisor Rutger Hauer. This award is given to an individual or institution who, like Rutger Hauer, has had a positive and inspiring impact on the next generation of Dutch filmmakers.

This year we are excited to introduce two more categories. For the first time, we have launched a brand new idea: Shortcutz Amsterdam Music Video Challenge. The coolest Dutch Production Houses and exciting Dutch musicians pushed the limits of their creativity to create a music video from scratch in 6 days.

We will also hear some words from some very special guests, so everyone can earn also a little bit of inspiration. The stellar line-up of special guests will be announced the week before the event. YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS 🔥
